Mexican food more than Tex-Mex. Prices are low. This is a historic restaurant. It is an ugly diner but many of our parents and grandparents ate here. I saw two couples on dates. When I visited. The staff are friendly and talkative.

Excellent, friendly professional service making fir an enjoyable & relaxing dining experience. Food is loaded with authentic Mexican flavor, tasty & enjoyable. My boyfriend is absolutely addicted to their beef tacos. Highly recommend Toucon Taco for a friendly get together.

10/10 Worth every penny you spend

Nothing fancy, just outstanding simple Mexican joy. No other cheese dip can compare to Toucan's chili con queso. I've been going here since 1985 and even though I no longer live in the US I visit Toucan every time I return.

Been eating here off and on since 1975 when it was Tippy's Taco House. Their sunken burritos are phenomenonal. Their con queso is awesome..not enough stars for a proper rating.

Haven't been here in over a decade, happy to report it is still just as delicious and glad it is still owned by the same family.

Would have given it a 5 but servings were small. Food was great and staff was good. Will go back I'll just order more spicy shredded chicken was awesome.

Fantastic place for tacos and chips and queso! A little hole in the wall with big flavor and huge portions. Friendly staff and once you go you feel like family.

My absolute favorite authentic Mexican restaurant ever. Their queso is off the chain but even better than that is their hot sauce. Sunken burritos, tacos, etc. U can't go wrong here!

I don't get to eat here as much as I'd like to or used to. I love ❤️ this place! Great service, great food (even if it's in aluminum pans.) No microwaves in this restaurant!Can't get enough of that queso!

There was no more spicy chicken. And the manager with the black headband had an attitude like I ate all the spicy chicken. Make more spicy chicken prepare for a busy day. And dont get smart with the customer when they ask simple questions. Get rid of the black headband you look like your stuck in the 80's.

Great tacos. Excellent service. No wait on the table at lunch but there were a lot of patrons. Passed it every day on the way to work for decades. Wished I had gone there sooner.

Toucan Taco is a very friendly family oriented place. They almost remember peoples name and faces especially if you go there a lot. The food is good. The people are nice. If you go there get their Sunken Burrito with Spicy Chicken!!!!!! :) You wont be disappointed.

Nothing fancy about it but the your meal will be warm and flavorful. It will certainly hit the spot. The shredded chicken and the queso are excellent. The staff are pleasant and courteous. Don't sleep on this hidden treasure when you need something satisfying.

Because they NEVER disappoint..The QUESO is the best...but I LOVE EVERYTHING! Including the WONDERFUL staff.

Delicious Mexican food for a great price. I highly suggest the sunken burritos. The homemade hot sauce is amazing and the service is fast and friendly. Always a great experience dining in and carrying out. Ten out of ten would do it again

Believe it or not my father work for Trans World Airlines TWA he would deliver some of their products that would come in through Freight. He had an opportunity to deliver some of their food products. Ever since my family has been going there the name back in those times early 70s was Tippy's yeah that's right and then they changed their name to Toucan Taco I was just there the other day the place looks exactly the same as when I was 9 years old. Except for the door with the phone used to be in the corner oh yeah I'm glad that the daughter took over. And kept the business open I come 30 miles to get the food yeehaw

Food is super tasty and fairly priced. Place hasn't changed much over the years, so it's not a "sparkling" atmosphere but that's not what's most important in restaurants. Simple menu, with a to-go option. Your stomach won't be disappointed!

This place is great. It's a locally owned business, done in the old ways. No flare here, just good people and good food. This is one of those whole in the wall places and I wouldn't ask to change a thing.Thanks for a mellow, friendly, and casual environment. It is a good break from the corporate, fast paced, and hustle and bustle.I would recommend this place to anyone!

I love Toucan Taco! They've been a staple in Laurel since the 70's. The food is excellent & the staff are super nice. You need to try this place at least once, you'll definitely come back!

I’m a chile con queso fanatic and this place doesn’t disappoint!!! After recently moving to Laurel, I’ve made an effort to try any and every Spanish/Tex-mex restaurant from Tampico and Jalapeño fresh to Chapala and even Moe’s when a late night queso blanco craving hit lol. TOUCAN TACO WINS BY FAR in the queso category. I ordered through doordash so the food was packed and traveled for 15 minutes and was still delicious. Looking forward to trying more items on the menu!
